Tips

  • Match the party colors. Open a style and change the fill and outline colors to the theme.
  • Short and big. A name alone reads better on a banner than a full sentence.
  • Plan the toppers early. Cutting tiny letters is fiddly; a heavier style cuts cleanly.

QWhat can I make with birthday text?
Name banners, cake toppers, invitation headers, party signs, favor tags, balloon and backdrop lettering, and birthday posts or stories.
QCan I make a cake topper?
Yes. Pick a style with a solid outline, open it in the editor (Customize more) and export a cut file to cut it from cardstock or glitter cardstock. Thin details are hard to cut at topper size, so choose a heavier style.
QWhat size should a birthday banner be?
Make the words as large as the banner allows and keep them short — a name or two to three words. Export the PDF at your paper size (Letter, A4 or larger) and print it, or print each letter on its own page for a letter-by-letter banner.
QCan I change the name for each child or guest?
Yes. Change the words and the same style is rebuilt around the new letters, so a set of name tags or favors takes minutes.
QIs it really free? Do I need to sign up?
There is no sign-up and no account. Every feature, including transparent PNG and SVG download, is free while the tool is in beta. Anything you make during the beta stays yours to use.
QCan I get a transparent PNG?
