Free Vector Text Generator

Turn your own words into a styled text logo and download it as a vector SVG — free, with no sign-up. The letters, the stacked outlines and the 3D sides are real vector paths, so they stay sharp on a business card or a banner and you can keep editing them in Illustrator or Inkscape. A transparent PNG and a print-ready PDF are there too.

Outline and 3D styles

Every example below is a real style in the tool. Tap one to open it, then change the word.

How it works

  1. 1Type your words

A logo, a shop name, a team name or a single letter. Up to 24 characters.

  2. 2Pick a style

Layered outlines, plain 3D and solid colors usually come out as vector. Open a style to change its colors and thickness.

  3. 3Download the SVG

Tap Download and choose SVG. For a cut file or a print PDF with bleed, tap Customize more and export from the editor. No account.

Vector text you can keep editing

Most free text generators give you a picture. Here the SVG you download is built from the same shapes you see on screen: the letters become outlines, and each stacked outline, 3D side and gradient is a vector path. That means it scales from a sticker to a banner without blurring, and a designer can open it in Illustrator or Inkscape and change it.

Which file to choose

  • SVG — to edit in Illustrator or Inkscape, or to scale without limits.
  • Transparent PNG — to drop on a photo, a video or a slide.
  • Cut file (SVG) — for Cricut and Silhouette, from the editor.
  • Print PDF — CMYK with bleed for a print shop, from the editor.

FAQ

Text logos
QWhat exactly is vector in the SVG?
The letters are turned into outlines (no font is needed to open the file), and every outline, 3D side, gradient and solid color is a vector path. You can scale it to any size, recolor it and move points in Illustrator, Inkscape or Affinity Designer.
QIs anything not vector?
Effects that are soft or textured — blurred shadows, glows and light, fire and lightning, glitter and other surface textures (wood, metal, marble) and some glosses — are placed inside the SVG as images, on top of the vector letters. A few effect combinations turn the whole design into one image. If you need a file that is vector all the way through, pick a style without them: layered outlines, plain 3D and solid colors.
QCan I edit the text after downloading?
In the SVG the letters are outlines, so you edit their shapes rather than retype them. To change the words, open the style again here, type the new words and download again — it is free.
QCan I use the SVG with Cricut or Silhouette?
Yes. For cutting, export a cut file from the editor: outlines become solid shapes, overlapping letters are welded and colors go on separate layers. See Text SVG for Cricut & Silhouette. Cricut and Silhouette are trademarks of their owners; DecoTecoPop is not affiliated with them.
QCan I print it?
Yes. From the editor you can export a print PDF in CMYK with bleed and crop marks, ready to send to a print shop.
QIs it really free? Do I need to sign up?
There is no sign-up and no account. Every feature, including transparent PNG and SVG download, is free while the tool is in beta. Anything you make during the beta stays yours to use.
QCan I use what I make commercially?
The design you make is yours — we do not claim copyright on what you export (see the Terms). One thing to know: a logo built only from a standard font can be hard to register as a trademark, so if you plan to register one, ask a professional.
QDoes it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in Safari and Chrome on iPhone and Android as well as on a computer. Nothing to install. The editor needs a reasonably recent browser.
