Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using DecoTecoPop (the "Service"), provided by wksystems LLC (the "Company"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using the Service.
01 General Provisions & Service Overview
The Service is a web service that lets you decorate text in your browser (creating and editing decorative text) and export the result as data ready for submission to a print shop. You can apply decorations such as outlines, three-dimensional effects, gloss, and organic transformations while keeping the data in vector form, and edit "non-destructively" so that you can re-type the text at any time. In addition, the Service provides the functions needed for print submission, such as CMYK conversion of images and photos, automatic generation of bleed, and export in registration-mark PDF/X-4 format.
02 Covered Regions & Conditions of Use
Covered regions
The operator is a Japanese corporation, and the Service is operated in accordance with the laws of Japan (such as the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Consumer Contract Act, and the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions).
Even when accessed from outside Japan, the Service is provided under Japanese law. It does not guarantee compliance with the laws specific to each country or region, so if you access the Service from overseas, please understand that the laws of your country or region may separately apply, and use the Service at your own responsibility.
Conditions of use
Before using the Service, please confirm that you meet the following conditions.
- You agree to the application of the laws of Japan as set out in these Terms
- You are 15 years of age or older (those under 15 require the consent of a guardian)
- You agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy
- You have not previously been subject to a suspension of use by the Company
03 Account Registration
Account registration is required to use paid features such as exporting decorative text and images (PDF / SVG, etc.) and generating bleed.
- An email address is required for registration
- As a rule, each person may use one account
- Please enter accurate and up-to-date registration information
- Transferring, sharing, or selling an account is prohibited
- The user is responsible for managing their password (where one is set)
If you discover suspicious access or unauthorized use, please contact us promptly.
04 Purchase & Use of Credits
Some features, such as exporting data (PDF / SVG, etc.) and generating bleed, consume "credits." Editing text decorations (decorative text) itself is free of charge.
Purchase & validity period
- Credits can be purchased from My Page within the Service
- Payment is made by credit card via Stripe
- Credits are valid for one year from the date of purchase
- Expired credits lapse and are not refunded
Refund policy
- As a rule, we do not provide refunds for purchased credits.
- However, if processing was not completed normally due to a system failure attributable to the Company (for example, if credits were consumed but no output could be obtained), please contact us via the contact form. After confirming the circumstances, we will return the credits or provide a refund.
- This does not preclude the right of rescission under the Consumer Contract Act.
When credits are consumed
- Exporting data (PDF / SVG, etc.): 1 credit consumed at the time of export (re-exporting due to a communication error, etc. is free)
- Bleed generation: 1 credit consumed upon completion of generation
- AI upscaling: 1 credit consumed upon completion of processing
- Editing text decorations (decorative text), CMYK conversion, and color-adjustment preview: free
05 Rules for Uploaded Images (Copyright & Portrait Rights)
User responsibility
A user who uploads an image to the Service represents and warrants that they are responsible for all of the following.
- For the image being uploaded, that they hold the copyright themselves, or have obtained permission from the copyright holder to process, convert, and turn it into print data
- Where the image includes the likeness of a third party, that they have obtained permission to use the portrait rights from that person (or that such permission is not required)
- Where AI-generated images are used, that commercial use and print use are permitted under the terms of service of the generative-AI service used
- That processing and printing the image does not infringe the rights of any third party (copyright, trademark rights, design rights, privacy rights, etc.)
The Company's disclaimer
The Company bears no responsibility whatsoever for the infringement of copyright, portrait rights, or any other third-party rights relating to uploaded images. All responsibility arising from rights infringement (including damages and the costs of responding to legal action) shall be borne by the user who uploaded the image.
Reporting copyright infringement
If a third party reports copyright infringement or the like, the Company will temporarily suspend the relevant user's account and, after confirming the facts, decide how to respond. Please submit reports via the contact form.
06 Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited when using the Service.
- Uploading or processing images that infringe the copyright, portrait rights, trademark rights, privacy rights, etc. of a third party
- Processing content that is contrary to public order and morals, such as obscene material, child pornography, or violent expression
- Scraping or bot activity that makes automated or bulk requests to the Service's API
- Unauthorized access to the Service, cracking, or exploiting security vulnerabilities
- Improperly obtaining free allowances by creating multiple accounts
- Reselling or transferring credits
- Decompiling or reverse-engineering the Service
- Defaming or slandering the Company or any third party
- Any other activity that violates laws and regulations, these Terms, or public order and morals
If you violate the prohibited activities, the Company may suspend your use, delete your account, or take legal action without prior notice.
07 Intellectual Property Rights
Rights relating to the Service
Copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to the Service's system, UI, design, code, text, logos, and the like belong to the Company or to the rightful holders. The license granted under these Terms does not imply the transfer of any of these rights.
Images uploaded by users
Copyright in images uploaded by users belongs to the original rights holder. The Company handles images only within the scope of the processing purpose and does not acquire copyright in them.
Output data (decorative-text designs, converted data)
The Company does not claim copyright in the data the Service outputs (text-decoration designs created by users, CMYK data, PDF / SVG files, etc.). Text-decoration designs created by the user belong to the user, and copyright in data produced by converting or processing an original image belongs to the copyright holder of the original image. Note that outputs of designs created using the fonts, materials, etc. provided by the Service may be used within the scope of these Terms and the Company's guidance.
ICC profile
The PSOcoated_v3 ICC profile used by the Service is provided by ECI (European Color Initiative). The Company uses the profile without modification.
08 Disclaimers & Changes / Suspension of the Service
Disclaimer regarding print results
Service availability
The Company strives to provide the Service as stably as possible, but the Service may be suspended or restricted in the following cases. The Company bears no responsibility for damages arising from these.
- Scheduled or emergency maintenance
- Server failures or infrastructure failures
- Force majeure such as natural disasters, power outages, or communication failures
- Failures of third-party services (Stripe, Google, etc.)
Changes to or termination of the Service
The Company may change or terminate the contents of the Service for business reasons. When terminating, we will, as far as possible, give advance notice on the Service or by email. The handling of unused credits will be separately announced at that time.
09 Limitation of Liability
If the Company causes damage to a user in connection with the Service, except in cases of the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company's liability for damages shall be capped at the amount the user paid to the Service during the three months preceding the month in which the damage occurred.
The Company bears no responsibility for indirect damages, special damages, or lost profits arising from use of the Service, except in cases of the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
If the above limitation is rendered invalid under the Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory laws, this article shall apply within the scope permitted by those laws.
10 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
If a dispute arises between a user and the Company in connection with the Service, the parties shall first seek to resolve it in good faith through consultation. If it cannot be resolved through consultation, the Tokyo District Court or the Tokyo Summary Court shall be the exclusive court of agreed jurisdiction for the first instance.

12 Amendments to These Terms
The Company may amend these Terms if it deems it necessary due to changes in laws and regulations, changes to the Service, or other reasons.
- The content of any amendment will be posted on this page and takes effect from the date of posting
- For amendments that have a material impact on users (such as price revisions for paid features or changes to the refund policy), we will give notice at least 14 days in advance by notifying your registered email address or by announcement on the Service
- If you continue to use the Service after an amendment, you are deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms
