A little trick to make it look great
3D text instantly looks pro when you keep the light direction consistent. Match the letter’s shadow to the direction of light in the photo (the way of a window or the sun), and the text looks like it’s really sitting there. Start with modest depth and add a little at a time. Pile on too much and it gets hard to read, so “as 3D as you can while still being readable” is the sweet spot.

Q. Which phones and browsers does it work on?
Editing decorated text needs a device and browser that support WebGPU, a relatively new technology. As a guide: on iPhone, a recent iOS (iOS 26 or later) in Safari; on Android, a recent version of Chrome. On unsupported devices the decoration editor may not open (even then, you can still use the basic text entry and print-data features).
Q. Is it really free?
Editing decorated text (decorating and reshaping) is free, as far as you want to go. Exporting the print data (saving as PDF and so on) is free while we’re in beta (it will become paid later).
Q. Can I still retype the text after making it 3D?
Yes. Even after adding 3D and gloss, you can always retype the text. “Actually, a different word” is no problem.
Q. Can I change the depth and color of the 3D?
Yes. Move the thickness, light direction, gloss strength, color, and more with your finger, checking the look right there as you decide.
